Umbro World Cup Women
Posted on: August 31, 2011
Umbro, a clothing company for soccer, unveiled a line of seven World Cup jerseys. Since the World Cup starts in just over a month, Umbro wanted to debut these jerseys now, in order to get the publicity out before the 2010 World Cup starts. This story involves wives or girlfriends of World Cup soccer players. They used women from seven different countries in all to display the new seven soccer jerseys that Umbro developed. England, France, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay are the seven countries featured in the clothing line. http://www.umbro.com/#/worldchampionsshirts/?locale=en_GB/?locale=en_US/?locale=en_GB
One by one each of the women there wore the jersey of their country and was shot in a variety of different positions showing off the soccer jersey. Here is the site for the final pictures of the show. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/05/umbro-world-cup-photo-sho_n_565242.html
2010 World Cup
In the 2010 World Cup there will be 32 teams competing from all over the World. It will take place in South Africa. The top teams in the World Cup rarely change. England, Brazil and the Netherlands are always teams that will make a run in the World Cup. Other teams that will challenge to win the World Cup will be Germany, Italy, Portugal and maybe the United States if their key players can return from injuries in time to play. http://www.soccerphile.com/fifa-rankings/
Ghana are a surprise team. Back in 2008, the last time the World Cup was played, it was their first time in the competition and they managed to stun the United States and advance to the field of 16. It will be interesting to see if they can make another run this year. http://www.soccerphile.com/fifa-rankings/
The sportswear company videotaped a promotional photo shoot and posted highlights on YouTube.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H17_4KcB3Bw&feature=player_embedded
